Gardening

Staying here in my rural birthplace drove me to do some gardening. I planted vegetables and flowering plants. As I look through the yard, seeing the plants surrounding our house, I am overwhelmed is an understatement. The joy they bring when I see them bloom is beyond what I can say in words. They are growing

Deep Vein Thrombosis

Starting last Sunday I had severe pain in my left leg, I could barely walk and lucky the pain dissipated a couple of days later.
Swollen leg with the mysterious dark spots

I had to ask my doctor about it who asked me to do ultrasound test as she suspected it's a deep vein thrombosis(DVT) or blood clotting. Thanks God the result showed otherwise. It's a swollen muscle probably due to exhaustion. The dark spots I believe frightened my doctor. She asked me to reduce my blood thinner intake and repeat the INR test in two weeks.

Thanks God it's not DVT. Diagnosis after all the tests is myositis, inflammation of the muscle probably due the Atorvastatin I'm taking as an anti-cholesterol. My physician changed it to Rotuvastatin as my cholesterol level was higher than normal.

New House

We moved in to our new house built by my niece and nephew last Wednesday, auspicious day the olds believe. We timed the move to coincide with the village fiesta, we moved two days before, and the new house was a beehive of activities entertaining the guests who came. The adjacent bamboo hut was useful during the fiesta to keep the cooked food and the likes Fresh Farm House

The house was blessed last Friday, the eve of the village fiesta, by Fr. Ivo, erstwhile parish priest. After his blessing, he commented that such beautiful house inside but the moment you go outside, it's in the rural area.
