RIP Ate Paz

     My first Supervisor when I started working as a paint chemist at Dutch Boy Philippines in 1990 was Ate Paz (Artuz), was because she passed away yesterday at her home in Cainta, Rizal. She was a spinster, a tough superior, many said she was one hell of a supervisor. But I managed to work with her until her retirement in 1992.

     I knew she was a difficult superior, she belongs to the old school, but she was actually very smart, very high IQ, but relatively low EQ, or none at all. 

     I won't forget working with her. She was the typical 8-5 person, clocks out of work always at 5:01pm. She won't bother check if I needed to work overtime. I needed OT in order to earn higher monthly pay. Other supervisors would ask me to work OT for them instead, including Saturdays, augmenting my monthly salary.
